Media Consent Policy

This Media Consent Policy governs the collection, creation, recording, use, storage, distribution, and exploitation of all media content by ZYNK Events.

By accessing, attending, participating in, engaging with, or interacting with any event, platform, service, or media operated or managed by ZYNK Events, you acknowledge, understand, and agree to the terms of this Media Consent Policy.

1. Purpose of This Media Consent Policy

The purpose of this Media Consent Policy is to:

  • Clearly define media ownership and consent
  • Obtain lawful permission for media usage
  • Protect ZYNK Events from legal claims, disputes, or takedown demands
  • Ensure compliance with Indian and global legal standards

This Policy applies to all media created, owned, managed, commissioned, or controlled by ZYNK Events, whether now existing or developed in the future.

2. Scope and Applicability

This Media Consent Policy applies to, without limitation:

  • Event attendees
  • Participants, competitors, performers, artists
  • Guests, spectators, volunteers
  • Employees, contractors, collaborators
  • Sponsors, partners, vendors
  • Any individual appearing in ZYNK Events media

Consent under this Policy applies regardless of ticket type, free entry, or invitation status.

3. Definition of Media

For the purposes of this Media Consent Policy, “Media” includes but is not limited to:

  • Photographs
  • Video recordings
  • Audio recordings
  • Live streams and broadcasts
  • Interviews and testimonials
  • Social media content
  • Promotional, commercial, and archival footage
  • Digital, virtual, or AI-enhanced media

Media may be captured through any device or technology, including cameras, mobile devices, drones, CCTV, or automated systems.

4. Grant of Media Consent

4.1 Express and Implied Consent

By:

  • Attending a ZYNK Events event
  • Entering an event venue
  • Participating in any activity
  • Registering on our platforms
  • Engaging with our media teams

you expressly and irrevocably grant consent to ZYNK Events to capture and use your image, likeness, voice, name, performance, and appearance.

This consent is automatic, binding, and non-revocable, except where prohibited by law.

4.2 No Expectation of Privacy

You acknowledge that:

  • Events are public or semi-public environments
  • There is no reasonable expectation of privacy
  • Media may be captured continuously

ZYNK Events is under no obligation to notify individuals at the time of recording.

5. Ownership of Media Content

All Media captured, recorded, produced, edited, or distributed by or on behalf of ZYNK Events is the exclusive intellectual property of ZYNK Events.

This includes:

  • Raw footage
  • Edited content
  • Final productions
  • Derivative works

No ownership rights are transferred to any individual appearing in the Media.

6. Permitted Uses of Media

ZYNK Events may use Media for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Marketing and promotions
  • Advertising and sponsorships
  • Social media and digital platforms
  • Broadcast, OTT, and streaming platforms
  • Archival and documentation
  • Commercial exploitation

Such use may occur globally, perpetually, and across all current and future media formats.

7. No Compensation or Approval Rights

Unless expressly agreed in writing:

  • No compensation is payable for Media usage
  • No royalties or credits are owed
  • No approval or review rights are granted

You waive any right to inspect, approve, or object to the final Media content.

8. Waiver of Claims and Legal Rights

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you irrevocably waive:

  • Personality rights
  • Publicity rights
  • Moral rights
  • Privacy claims
  • Defamation or misrepresentation claims

arising from lawful use of Media by ZYNK Events.

This waiver applies even if Media is altered, edited, or combined with other content.

9. User-Generated and Submitted Media

If you voluntarily submit or tag ZYNK Events in any content:

  • You confirm you own or control the rights
  • You grant ZYNK Events a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and commercialize such content

ZYNK Events may remove or use such content at its discretion.

10. Third-Party and Sponsor Media Use

ZYNK Events may permit:

  • Sponsors
  • Media partners
  • Broadcasters

to use Media under controlled licenses. Such use remains subject to ZYNK Events’ ownership and contractual oversight.

No third party acquires ownership rights through such usage.

11. Special Categories and Minors

Where legally required:

  • Consent for minors shall be obtained from parents or guardians
  • Additional safeguards may apply

ZYNK Events reserves the right to restrict or blur media involving minors if necessary.

12. Data Protection and Privacy Alignment

Media involving identifiable individuals is processed in accordance with:

  • Indian IT Act, 2000
  • Applicable data protection principles
  • ZYNK Events’ Privacy Policy

Media Consent operates independently of data access or deletion rights where legally permissible.

13. Withdrawal of Consent

Where withdrawal is legally permitted:

  • Requests must be submitted in writing
  • ZYNK Events is not obligated to remove previously published or distributed Media

Withdrawal shall apply prospectively only and does not affect past lawful use.

14. Enforcement and Legal Remedies

ZYNK Events reserves the right to:

  • Reject unauthorized recording
  • Take action against misuse of Media
  • Issue takedown notices
  • Initiate civil or criminal proceedings

Unauthorized commercial use of ZYNK Events media is strictly prohibited.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Media Consent Policy shall be governed by the laws of India.

All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

16. Updates to This Media Consent Policy

ZYNK Events reserves the right to modify this Media Consent Policy at any time. Continued participation or engagement constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
